FRYING PAN VS FIRE - THINGS ARE GETTING HOT IN THE BREXIT KITCHEN . . .
It's impossible to read the news today without seeing that the Labour Party has asserted it will not lie down and accept a No Deal being forced on the country; instead preferring to push for a general election or a minority Labour administration. It feels compelled to make this assertion in response to the new Prime Minister, Boris Johnson's proposed push for Brexit to take place on October 31st 2019, regardless of which scenario - Deal or a No Deal - takes place. It seems that as hard as the PM pushes for Brexit at all costs, that Labour (and a group of cross-party MPs) will push back.
For most industries, the cosmetics sector being among them, a No Deal will mean additional paperwork becoming necessary in order to continue trading with any EU country. The CTPA (Cosmetic, Toiletry & Perfumery Association) has published many articles on the effect of a No Deal Brexit on the industry and the information found on its BREXIT - 'No Deal' Contingency Planning page is a clearly set out explanation of what will happen, when it will happen and how you need to respond. Take a look: http://www.ctpa.org.uk/content.aspx?pageid=555 but bear in mind - if Labour gets its way then all our No Deal planning could be confined to history.
